2022 ESKER WINNER
Congratulations to Lorianne Coursol for winning the 2022 Esker Award with her film: Better by Bike!

This film follows the bikepacking adventure of Lorianne Coursol traveling from Calgary Alberta to Breckenridge Colorado in the summer of 2022. Being a rookie to bikepacking and having never done a bike trip longer than five days, she wanted to find out if bikepacking was something she would enjoy. After watching more videos than she would care to admit Lorianne loaded her bike and set off for what would become 2843 km bike ride over the course of 2 months. This is not a typical intro to bikepacking. This film captures Loriannes experience of being on the trail, living life day by day and following the motto eat, sleep ride.
